X-Setup Pro is an extremely powerful program, which, if used incorrectly, could cause PERMANENT DAMAGE to your computer. PLEASE read X-Setup Pro page carefully before making any changes to your system.
Many of X-Setup Pro functionalities are recommended for advanced users only, who know what they are doing. If you feel uncomfortable with single plugins provided, you may simply delete them from the list. Our support team will be happy to explain options to you if you should have questions.
Make sure you have a complete backup of your recent system and personal files, which you might restore if anything should go wrong. Windows 98 and Windows 98ME automatically back up your registry each day - to restore X-Setup Pro go to Start -> Run and type in scanreg/restore (Windows 98 users must restart in MS-DOS mode).
X-Setup Pro records all system
changes so it will be easy to retrace all steps. Those changes will be
stored in a log file. Simply open the X-Setup Options
dialog, click the Log file tab
and select Level 2. You will
need have to close X-Setup next and then reopen it for
the change to take effect. To view the log file, click on the
Extra menu in the
Default UI, and choose "View Log
file...".
